Manticao Central School, Manticao, Misamis Oriental (March 18, 2023) Engr. Dominque Cabahug Asok, former Manager of the Manticao Service Area operations of MORESCO-1 was elected Board Director to represent MORESCO-1’s District 2 (Manticao), at 9 in the morning today, March 18, 2023 in Manticao Central School.

Fifty-six-year-old Asok, is a registered Electrical Engineer graduated Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of San Jose – Recoletos, Cebu City and is married to Helen Asok nee Castillo from Aloran, Misamis Occidental. The couple was blest with a son, Trojan Dei (TJ).

Engr. Asok joined the electric cooperative to train the newly-organized MORESCHORALE then and raised to the ranks in the EC and became Special Equipment Services Chief until December 07, 2020 when he was appointed to oversee Manticao Service Area operations.

Being MSAM, he also assisted in the strengthening of the capability of the barangay and federated member-consumer-owners (MCOs) in the districts under MSA (Lugait, Manticao, Naawan, Initao and Libertad) to help strengthen the role of the EC’s MCOs as essential players in the rural electrification program under the challenges of the EPIRA environment.

A lone candidate of the district, he was proclaimed by the District Election Committee (DECOM) composed of Chairman Anthony Y. Pacamalan; Secretary Ric D. Gabe; and Marcel Tagalogon in the presence of the MORESCO-1 GM Jovel B. Ubay-ubay, Institutional Services Department Manager and concurrent Acting General Manager of MORESCO-2 Edna S. Putian-Diango, OIC-Manager of Manticao Service Area Engineer Marlon Guinita, and the Manticao Service Area Customer Welfare Team and the Team wISDom who ran and managed all the district elections of MORESCO-1 franchise area.

Director Asok will be formally sworn into office during the Hybrid Sequential District Assembly for District 2 (Manticao) on Tuesday, May 4, 2023.
