Engr. Edgar G. Buhian Re-Elected as Director for MORESCO-1 District 4 – Initao

Initao, Misamis Oriental — March 28, 2026 — Engr. Edgar G. Buhian was officially re-elected as Board Director representing District 4 – Initao of Misamis Oriental-1 Rural Electric Service Cooperative, Inc. during the district election held this morning at the Initao National Comprehensive High School.

A licensed Geodetic Engineer, Engr. Buhian currently manages his own firm, EGB Surveying Services, and operates an agricultural training facility in Initao. He previously served with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 10. Known to many as “Loloy,” he has been a Member-Consumer-Owner (MCO) of MORESCO-1 since 1997 and resides at Purok 9, Poblacion, Initao with his wife, Nemia Penita Aubal.

Running as the lone candidate in the district, Engr. Buhian was proclaimed and formally inducted into office by the District Election Committee (DECOM) composed of Chairman Anthony Y. Pacamalan, Secretary Immelda Gllarrita, and member Marcel Tagalogon. The oath-taking was witnessed by MORESCO-1 Board of Directors President Joy Gil S. Mahinay and General Manager Engr. Collen B. Tarcelo, along with members of the District Election Screening Committee and key management officials.

Also present during the activity were OIC Institutional Services Department Manager Marebec O. Cagalawan, Engineering Services Department Manager Marlon P. Guinita, REE, Finance Services Manager Kristina Rae A. Guanzon, CPA, Manticao Service Area Manager Engr. Jojiepril Legaspi, PEE, and HRDD Manager Fatima Alemania-Tan, JD—demonstrating strong institutional support for the cooperative’s democratic processes.

District elections in MORESCO-1 are administered by the DECOM in coordination with the respective Service Area Offices, with logistical support from the Institutional Services Department and supervision from the National Electrification Administration. The successful conduct of the election underscores the cooperative’s continued commitment to transparency, member participation, and accountable governance.

Gimando sa Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) ang tanan distribution utility sa tibuok nasud sa istrikto nga pag-paskin o pag-publish sa binulan nga generation rates breakdown sa tanang planta diin nag-angkat kini sa enerhiya | kuryente.
