Director Bryan Lucky Z. Noble re-elected as MORESCO-1’s District 11 Director (Talakag and 11 Cagayan de Oro Barangays)

Talakag Central School, Talakag, Bukidnon. Bryan Luck Z. Noble , an Insurance Advisor who also runs a family business and a former government employee was re-elected Board Director to represent MORESCO-1’s District 11 covering  the 17 barangays of Talakag, Bukidnon and 11 hinterland barangays of Cagayan de Oro, at 9 in the morning today, March 11, 2023.

Forty-year-old Noble, an Insurance advisor by profession graduated Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Xavier University (Ateneo de Cagayan) in Cagayan de Oro City is married to Dyan Stephanie Noble. Being a member of the Board of Directors in the premier electric cooperative in the country for 3 years, he was instrumental in the strengthening of the capability of the barangay and federated member-consumer-owners (MCOs) and Multi-sectoral Electrification Advisory Council (MSEAC) to help strengthen the role of the EC’s MCOs as essential players in the rural electrification program under the challenges of the EPIRA environment.

A lone candidate of the district, he was proclaimed by the District Election Committee (DECOM) composed of Chairman Anthony Y. Pacamalan; Secretary Ric D. Gabe; and Marcel Tagalogon in the presence of the MORESCO-1 GM Jovel B. Ubay-ubay, Institutional Services Department Manager and concurrent Acting General Manager of MORESCO-2 Edna S. Putian-Diango, Talakag Service Area Manager Engineer Reniel Cabantac, the Talakag Service Area Customer Welfare Team and the Team wISDom who ran and managed all the district elections of MORESCO-1 franchise area.

Director Noble will be formally sworn into office during the Hybrid Sequential District Assembly for District 11 (Talakag and CDO Barangays) on Wednesday, May 3, 2023

ANECO VISITS MORESCO-1 TO BENCHMARK THE EC ISO 9001:2015 QMS JOURNEY

The Board President and the executive leadership of Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative, inc. (ANECO) visits MORESCO-1 today, March 10, 2023, to benchmark its ISO 9001:2015 Certification journey. They were welcomed by MORESCO-1 General Manager Jovel B. Ubay-Ubay.

A sister-electric cooperative of MORESCO-1, ANECO, from its headquarters in Butuan City, distributes power to the two (2) cities Butuan and Cabadbaran and ten municipalities that comprise the rest of Agusan del Norte namely, Las Nieves, RTR, Santiago, Tubay, Magallanes, Jabonga, Kitcharao, Nasipit, Buenavista and Carmen. The EC is serving almost 137,000 member-consumers in the entire Butuan City and Province of Agusan del Norte.

MORESCO-1’s Internal Audit Manager Dexter Baculio steered the discussion from the training on Gap Assessment to assess if the current practices of MORESCO-1 Quality Management System are compliant with the ISO 9001:2015, ISO Awareness the Root Cause Analysis to the series of consultations on the process, familiarizing the upgraded flow of work, emphasizing the importance of establishing effective processes for operational efficiency and embrace the experience positively.

They were also introduced to the Principal Consultant and CEO of AGF Consulting Group Philippines – Mr. Angel “Jong” G. Fernandez.

MORESCO-1 DRAWS CLOSE TO ISO 9001:2015 CONSENT, GEARS FOR FIRST STAGE AUDITS

The Management of MORESCO-1 takes the final push of pursuing the ISO 9001:2015 Certification by 2023 with a Management Review of its quality process. The review was a climax of the two-day mock audit by its consultant. The activity was spearheaded by the Quality Management Section Head Nieljean Magsacay yesterday, Thursday, March 9, 2023 at The Board Room, Emmanuel Pelaez Training Center (EPTC) Function Hall.

The resource person was again the Principal Consultant and CEO of AGF Consulting Group Philippines – Mr. Angel “Jong” G. Fernandez. He holds a profound background in consulting industry both local and international, one of which was being the ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor of IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors).

The first given training was on Gap Assessment to assess if the current practices of MORESCO-1 Quality Management System are compliant with the ISO 9001:2015 Standard and identify the improvements needed for ISO Certification.

The second training series was on ISO Awareness which was actively participated by process owners with planning workshop for the Quality Management System of MORESCO-1.

The Root Cause Analysis aims to teach the participants to identify potential causes, determine the cause | s are root causes, and address those to ensure the effect (the problem) does not recur.

The next was a series of consultations on the process, familiarizing the upgraded flow of work, emphasizing the importance of establishing effective processes for operational efficiency and embrace the experience positively.

The latest mock assessment and audit and finally the Management Review yesterday was  a matter of developing a brief  and conclusive document based in the context of MORESCO-1’s experience and will be communicated and implemented addressing all requirements of ISO 9001:2015. This brief conclusive document suffice the requirements of all legal, governmental, societal, stakeholders needs and expectation and customer satisfaction and boosting the morale of the employees.
