With the theme, “Leaving No One Behind: Achieving Social Equitability Through Rural Electrification and Empowerment of Filipino Communities,” the Philippine Association of Board of Directors of Rural Electric Cooperatives (PHABDREC) successfully conducted its annual PHABDREC Convention at Fiesta Pavilion, The Manila Hotel last October 12-13, 2022.

Over 700 Board of Directors from 121 Electric Cooperatives in the country attended the convention. It’s been two years since PHABDREC has been able to hold its face-to-face conference.

No less than the Vice President of the Philippines Sara Duterte gave an inspiring message during the convention; The conveners thanked the Rural Electrification Movement advocates, and the Energy Regulatory Commission and National Electrification Administration for their support of the organization’s advocacy of total rural electrification.

Our warmest Congratulations to Engr. Joar Dy for being elected as one of the PHABDREC Mindanao Chapter officers.

Si AML Dagooc usab miklaro nga ang hinungdan sa maong pagtaas sa power rate mao ang paglobo sa presyo sa generation ug supply, ug dili tungud sa mga distribution utilities sama sa electric cooperatives, ang MORESCO-1 usa na niini.

Hinoon kining mga charges apil na usab ang transmission charges ug buhis ibalik sa electric cooperatives ngadto sa power suppliers, NGCP, ug BIR. Mao nga ang MORESCO-1 mga “collectors” o tig-kolekta lamang sa gihimay-himay nga rates (unbundled rates) sa matag electricity bill.

Arun klaro sa atong mga member-consumer-owners (MCOs) ang breakdown sa atong balayranan sa generation matag bulan karung tuiga, ania ang mga tables sa binulan nga “Breakdown of Generation Rates” o ang atong balayrunon sa kuryente ngadto sa mga independent power producers (IPP) o generation (suppliers) nga atong gi-angkatan sa kuryente nato matag bulan.

Gimando sa Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) ang tanan distribution utility sa tibuok nasud sa istrikto nga pag-paskin sa binulan nga generation rates breakdown sa tanang planta diin nag-angkat kini sa enerhiya | kuryente. Kini arun makita sa tanan konsumidor sa kuryente asa gayud ang dako ug pahat sa charges sa sa tanan players sa paghimo, pakutay ug pag-apud’apud sa gahum dagitab

Ang MORESCO-1 nahimo lamang COLLECTOR sa ubang taripa arun ibayad sa planta sa Generation sa sugang dagitab ug elektrisidad, sa NGCP ug buhis alang sa Gobyerno.

SA PIPILA LAMANG KA MGA LINYA, KINING MOSUNOD MAO ANG RASON SA PAGTAAS SA BALAYRANAN SA KURYENTE

1. Pagtaas sa presyo sa kuryente nga atong gipalit sa mga planta (generation companies).

2. Pagmahal sa presyo sa coal (mineral) nga gigamit pangsugnod sa mga planta arun makagama ug kuryente tungod sa pag-ubos sa kantidad sa Piso batuk Dolyar.

3. Pag-ubos sa supply sa coal tungod sa paglimita sa mga nasud nga nagsupply niini.

4. Pag-ubos sa supply sa coal tungod apektado kini sa gyera sa Ukraine batok Russia.

5. Ang makanunayong pag-ubos sa balor o exchange rate sa Philippine Pesos batok sa US Dollar tungud sa pagpataas sa interest rates sa Estados Unidos sa Amerika.

Hinaot nga amo kamong mapasabot ug matagaan kami ug panahon nga ipasabot kining mga panghitabo nga nakaingun sa kamahal dili lamang sa kuryente, apan apil na usab ang mga lain-laing mga consumer goods and services nga atong gisagubang karun.
