In line with our Collection Drive engagements, the Laguindingan Service Area would like to inform the member-consumer-owners and the general public that MORESCO-1 paying stations at Laguindingan and Alubijid will be open every Saturday, whole day which already started last May 20, 2023 with the following schedules.
To provide meaningful insights into the capacity of renewable energy as a viable path towards energy security and sustainability in the Philippines particularly in Northern Mindanao, MORESCO-1 partners with the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP)’s Agropolis Renewable Energy Institute (AGREENERGI), the Center for Human Development Studies (CHDS) and its Power Institute to design a workshop to be rolled out on June 5, 2023 @ 9:00 am at the DRER Gymnasium, USTP CDO Campus, and be part of the nationwide RE Push.
CHARGE UP: The Students Forum on Renewable Energy will be participated by invited student – leaders and representatives, from major Universities and Engineering of CDO, to discuss on the pressing issues in the energy sector and gather perspectives on how these can be addressed–vital for the cascading of information to the younger generation. The forum is a sequel to the Earth Day Forum, in celebration of the annual Earth Day, conducted last April 25, 2023, at LDCU, and in celebration of the upcoming World Environment Day
Other partners are Center for Energy, Ecology, and Development (CEED), Institute for Power Sector Economics, Inc. (IPSEc, Inc.), Philippine Movement for Climate Justice (PMCJ), Power Institute (PI), and the Misamis Oriental Provincial Governor’s Office thru the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO-MisOr).
This Forum is one of a series of engagements to be rolled out by the attached and partner agencies towards organizing an Energy Board in the province of Misamis Oriental.
In its effort to ensure effectiveness and efficiency among its employees, the Lanao del Sur Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LASURECO) management sent its technical services team to benchmark MORESCO-1 engineering services as a form of training initiative and developmental interventions.
The benchmark rolled out from May 25-26, 2023 at the MORESCO-1 Headquarters in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental. Facilitated by Special Equipment Services Chief Engr. Engr. Jojiepril Legaspi and assisted by Technical Assistant Gilbert Tesocan, the team of eight LASURECO Staff were toured around the metering lab among others. The meter labs is one of the core sections of the technical services, and very crucial to the operations of an EC like MORESCO-1 for its energy meters.
Energy meters are an essential part of the energy management system. They are used to measure the amount of energy consumed by residential, commercial, and industrial users. To ensure that the energy meter is accurate, it is important to conduct regular testing. The testing can be conducted either on-site or at a laboratory.
The LASURECO team was composed of Engr. Suaib A. Diangca, Technical Services Manager; Engr. Nasief M. Pandian, Supervisor, Metering and Special Equipment; Engr. Amer Hussain Capal, Warehouse Section Head; Mr. Rasol R. H. Taib, Staff Calibrator; Mr. Abraham Almerol, Line Foreman; Aiman Licawat, Warehouse Staff; Yasser L. Calbe, IT-LAN Officer; and Najeeb M. Esmail, Section Head of Motorpool Division.
