52nd Annual General Membership Meeting and 54th Foundation Anniversary

TINAHOD NGA MGA MEMBER-CONSUMER-OWNERS (MCOs): Karong bulan sa ABRIL 2022 ipahigayon ang pinasahing Ika-52 nga ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP ASSEMBLY (AGMA) ug Ika-54 anyos nga kasumaran sa pagkahimugso sa atong Kooperatiba.

Kini pagahimoon pinaagi sa gitawag nga Sequential AGMA ug ipahigayon sa matag Distrito sa Virtual nga pamaagi ug tapuson kini pinaagi sa usa ka Franchise-Wide Virtual Assembly nga ipahigayon human ang mga District Assemblies.

Sama sa gihapon wala nato itugot ang PROXY. Tungod niini gihangyo kamong mga Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) sa pag-apil arun atong tambayayongan ang kawsa niining panahona nga anaa kita sa Pandemya.

Kita usab mo-adopt sa hini’usang tema sa kinatibuk-ang pundok sa mga Electric Coops sa nasud: “LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND: Achieving Total Electrification and Realizing Social Equitability thru Empowerment of the Rural Communities” nga kung atong hubaron sa atong lokal nga pinulungan – “WALAY BISAN USA MAHIBILIN: Pagkab’ot sa Kinatibuk’ang Pag-Dan’ag ug Pag’amgo sa Katilingbanong Kaangayan Pinaagi sa Paghatag’gahum ngadto sa mga Banikanhong Komunidad.”

MAO KINI ANG ATONG “POWER RATES UPDATE” alang sa atong mga RESIDENTIAL CONSUMERS para sa Billing Month sa Pebrero 2022 : P11.99 / kWh.

Adunay pagkunhod sa presyo sa kuryente balor ug P0.0423 centavos kada kWh tungod kay ang Systems Loss Rate miubos ug Php 0.1493 /kWh ug ang Power Act Reduction Rate miubos ug 0.0041.

Gusto natong ipahinumdom sa tanang mga MCOs nga ang taripa sa MORESCO-1 striktong ginapasubay ug gina-regulate sa Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). Maong ang atuang Power Bill Computation naka-base sa mga balaud nga gina-pagawas sa ERC, kung diin:

1. GENERATION, TRANSMISSION ug GOVERNMENT CHARGES – Ihan-ay kini isip mga “Pass-Through Costs”. Tungod kay ang MORESCO-1 usa ka non-stock, non-profit, service oriented nga kooperatiba sa serbisyo sa kuryente, dili kita pwede magpa-tubo. Kung unsa gayud ang tinuod ug tataw nga palit sa pag-angkat sa kuryente gikan sa mga Power Generation Companies, mga gasto sa atong pag-gamit sa mga High Voltage Power Lines sa NGCP para maabot ang gipang-angkat nga kuryente ni MORESCO-1 sa iyang mga substations ug ang buluwisan sa kuryente, mao lamang sab ang sukton ug walay bisan pila ka sentimo nga nadugang.

2. DISTRIBUTION CHARGE – Kini mao ang galastohan sa pag-apud-apud sa kuryente nga mupa-ingon sa atuang MORESCO-1. Isip usa ka non-stock, non-profit, service oriented nga kooperatiba sa kuryente, ang taripa dili pwede magpa-ginansya, dapat igu lamang para sa atuang Operation, Maintenance ug Capital Expenditure Projects. Kini naka-basi sa ERC Rules for Setting Electric Cooperatives’ Wheeling Rates (RSEC-WR).

Ang pag-ubos sa taripa nga mukabat Php0.0423/ kwh alang sa mga residential customers nagumikan sa pag-ubos sa mosunod:

1) Systems Loss Rate miubos ug Php 0.1493 /kWh

2) Power Act Reduction Rate miubos ug 0.0041

Bisan adunay pagsaka sa mosunod:

1) Generation Rate – Php 0.0424 /kWh

2) Transmission Rate – Php 0.0024 /kWh

3) Lifeline Rate – Php 0.0705 /kWh

Mi’resulta sa atong effective residential rate balor ug Php11.9925/kWh

Samtang ang Low Voltage adunay kinatibuk’ang pag-ubos ug 0.0957 nga adunay effective rate balor ug Php11.1369/kWh samtang ang High Voltage adunay kinatibuk’ang pag-ubos ug 0.0561 ug adunay effective rate balor ug Php10.3682/kWh.

MORESCO-1 joins the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in the observance of the month of March as FIRE PREVENTION MONTH

Fire Prevention Month is a yearly nationwide observance held every March. On this month, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), local government units, firefighting agencies, and educational institutions all work together to conduct various fire prevention activities.

Now, you are probably wondering how March came to be the Fire Prevention Month. Well, it goes as far back as 1967, when President Ferdinand Marcos signed Proclamation No. 115-A which states that the year 1967 and every year thereafter as Safety and Accident Prevention Year. The proclamation also stated that each month of the year will be devoted to a specific safety and accident prevention aspect.

March came to be the Fire Prevention Month since that time of the year showed the highest record of fire incidents in the country according to data released by the National Statistical Coordination Board. The proclamation was then created to propagate “safety consciousness among our people every day of the year as a positive preventive approach to a problem that can be solved by more caution, vigilance, sobriety, exercise of common sense and respect for the law.” So in respect to this observance, participate in any Fire Prevention drills and activities going around either to your work, school, or local area because it always pays to be ready.
