TINAHOD NGA MGA MEMBER-CONSUMER-OWNERS (MCOs):

Karong tibuok bulan sa MAYO 2023  ipahigayon ang pinasahing ika-53 nga ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP ASSEMBLY (AGMA) ug Ika-55 anyos nga kasumaran sa pagkahimugso sa atong Kooperatiba.

Kini pagahimoon pinaagi sa gitawag nga Hybrid Sequential AGMA District Meetings ug ipahigayon sa matag Distrito ug tapuson kini pinaagi sa usa ka Franchise-Wide Hybrid Assembly nga ipahigayon human ang mga ga-sunod-sunod nga mga District Assemblies.

Ang usa ka “HYBRID” MEETING – mao ang hiniusang pagpadagan sa AGMA diin nagamit ug Zoom Modality o Virtual nga pamaagi ug naghatag usab ug usa ka simultaneous VIEWING VENUE | CENTER diin naka project ang virtual meeting alang niadtong dili maka-apil tungud SA VIRTUAL tungud kay wala silay mga aparato ug gadget sa pag-apil. Bisan niini, makaapil gihapon sila sa deliberation ug session sama gihapon nga apil sa sila sa hawanan sa asembleya.

MORESCO-1 TAKES A FINAL STEP ON ISO 9001:2015 ROLLOUT; HELD RCA TRAINING

The Management of MORESCO-1 takes the final push of pursuing the ISO 9001:2015 Certification by 2023. As an activity for its roll-out, the Quality Management Office facilitated the Root Cause Analysis Training held last Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Emmanuel Pelaez Training Center (EPTC) Function Hall.

The resource person was again the Principal Consultant and CEO of AGF Consulting Group Philippines – Mr. Angel “Jong” G. Fernandez. He holds a profound background in consulting industry both local and international, one of which was being the ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor of IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors).

The first given training was on Gap Assessment to assess if the current practices of MORESCO-1 Quality Management System are compliant with the ISO 9001:2015 Standard and identify the improvements needed for ISO Certification. While, the second training series was on ISO Awareness which was actively participated by process owners with planning workshop for the Quality Management System of MORESCO-1.

The Root Cause Analysis aims to tach the participants to identify potential causes, determine the cause | s are root causes, and address those to ensure the effect (the problem) does not recur.

For the activity to be more meaningful, GM Jovel Ubay-Ubay gave words of encouragement to the participants, emphasizing the importance of establishing effective processes for operational efficiency and embrace the experience positively.

The rollout aims to inform all process owners of the documentation required by the standards in MORESCO-1 prior to the implementation. Held on the same engagement was the ceremonial signing of the MORESCO-1 Quality Management System documentation.

These initiatives aim to improve the business operation of MORESCO-1 to provide consistent quality service to its Member-Consumer-Owners. (Archibald Pacana, CPRO)

MORESCO -1’s LGU ENERGY FORUM slated on Tuesday, January 17, 2023

The MORESCO-1 Big Loads’ Forum (BLF) took place in November last year taking into a town-hall type of discussion, the current energy landscape by providing updates to its high and low voltage consumers (HV/LV) within its franchise area, after a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

A sequel to this engagement, the MORESCO-1 LGU ENERGY FORUM will be scheduled on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 (09:00hs) at the EPTC Function Hall.

Like the 2022 BLF, the LGF will also present the Power Supply Outlook, Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA), a look into the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), Net Metering, Green Energy Option Program (GEOP) and the electric cooperative’s future proofing plans. This time, capital expenditures (CapEx) filed with the Energy regulatory Commission (ERC) and its rate impact will also be included.

The speakers of the Forum comes from the pool of core experts of MORESCO-1 namely, Engr. Collen B. Tarcelo, Engineering Services Department Manager; Engr. Joni Jane F. Cabantac, Corporate Planning Department Manager; and Engr. Jovel B. Ubay-Ubay, MORESCO-1’s General Manager.

There will also be a recognition of the LGUs for upholding the true spirit of collaboration, reflective of its major role in local governance, drawing strength and focus from quality local legislation in their respective communities.

This will be a first among the series of forum, symposia, and town hall meetings with MORESCO-1 stakeholders and MCOs. These engagements were spearheaded by the Institutional Services Department (ISD) thru the Member Customer Development Division and the Corporate Public Relations Office in coordination and collaboration with the Corporate Planning, Engineering Services and the Corporate Affairs and the Management Committee.
