M1 Powerdance Lights Up Pagatpat in another leg of SEP Energization Ceremony!

MORESCO-1 brings light, energy, and joy to the residents of Upper Pamalihi and Zone 4, Upper Pagatpat, Cagayan de Oro City de Oro City

Pagatpat, Cagayan de Oro City | October 23, 2025 — The spirit of energization and empowerment came alive as MORESCO-1 officially switched on power for the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) beneficiaries in Upper Pamalihi and Zone 4, Upper Pagatpat, Cagayan de Oro City.

The morning’s Ceremonial Energization at the Pagatpat Covered Court was filled with excitement, laughter, and heartfelt gratitude. What began as a project for 20 households under SEP 2022 grew to benefit almost 30 families, marking another milestone in MORESCO-1’s continuing mission to bring electricity — and opportunity — to even the farthest communities.

Barangay Captain Hon. Achilles “Gogoy” U. Babaran warmly welcomed guests and recipients, followed by inspiring messages from Hon. Jocelyn B. Rodriguez, City Vice Mayor of Cagayan de Oro (represented by Mr. Roderico Y. “Jun” Dumaug, Jr.), and Dir. Ritchie Veluz, MORESCO-1 Board of Director for Opol, Four Barangays CDO, and Talakag District caretaker.

A symbolic Ceremonial Turnover and Energization followed, led by Dir. Veluz together with Hon. Babaran and the newly energized sitio residents. The crowd cheered as light bulbs flickered to life — a powerful symbol of connection and hope.

Adding to the celebration, the M1 Powerdance once again entertained the community, bringing smiles and laughter while spreading the message of unity and empowerment through dance.

The event also featured the distribution of Membership Certificates to new member-consumer-owners, and moving testimonials from residents like Ms. Julie Pumfod and Mr. Lomer Deozabal, who shared their joy after years of waiting for electrification.

Barangay Kagawad Elger M. Daayata, President of the Member-Consumer-Owners Association of Barangay Pagatpat, also delivered a message of appreciation and support for MORESCO-1’s sustained commitment to service.

In his closing remarks, Engr. Ray S. Cagubcub, Manager of MORESCO-1’s Office of the System Area (OSA), shared:

“This project is more than just poles and wires — it’s about bringing light, hope, and progress closer to the people.”
