SCREENING COMMITTEE MORESCO-1

Susan M. Baculio elected Director for Gitagum District

Gitagum, Misamis Oriental (September 17).  Susan Matanog Baculio, from Purok 7 Barangay Burnay, Gitagum, Misamis Oriental is the latest addition to the Board of Directors of MORESCO-1. She was inducted to office today in Gitagum Central School.

The unassuming farmer-entrepreneur and wife to Isidro Yamaro Baculio Jr. from Gitagum, was a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in Marketing from the Liceo de Cagayan University in Cagayan de Oro City.

A lone candidate of the district as the current Director Christopher Maagad’s tenure ended  just recently. Director Matanog-Baculio was inducted to the office by the District Election Committee (DECOM) composed of Chairman Anthony Y. Pacamalan; Secretary Ric D. Gabe; and Marcel Tagalogon in the presence of the MORESCO-1 GM Jovel B. Ubay-ubay, Institutional Services Department Manager and concurrent Acting General Manager of MORESCO-2 Edna S. Putian-Diango, Laguindingan Service Area Manager Marjun Lagumbay and the ISD Team who ran and managed all the district elections of MORESCO-1 franchise area and her supporters.

In her acceptance speech, Director Matanog-Baculio extended her deep gratitude to the people who tossed her candidacy despite the fact that she was hesitant at first, in fact trying to persuade the local leaders who endorsed her, that she will look for an able candidate weeks prior to the deadline of the filing of the certificate of candidacy. She said, perhaps it is a divine intervention that she ended running for the position since she found out as of the last minute, there was no other interested parties.

Congratulations Director Susan “Lek-Lek” Matanog-Baculio and welcome to the warm fold of MORESCO-1’s “warriors of lights” in serving our member-consumer-owners.
