In a significant move towards enhancing power transmission efficiency, the National Transmission Corporation (Transco) and the Misamis Oriental 1 Rural Electric Service Cooperative, Inc (MORESCO-1) convened for an onsite inspection of MORESCO-1’s acquired sub-transmission assets under least purchase agreement. The inspection aims to ensure compliance as approved by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

The meeting, held at MORESCO-1’s premises, brought together key personnel from Transco and MORESCO-1 to oversee the assessment firsthand. Among the attendees were Rennedy Anthony B. Elarmo, Archibald L. Echano, and Aaron Jay Ricardo S. Silva, all Principal Engineers A from Transco’s Technical Management Group (TMG). Additionally, Michael Jason R. Estrera, Project Design representative from MORESCO-1, and Raff Shun Rhay Laput, Planning and Design engineer from MORESCO-1, contributed their expertise to the inspection.

Collen B. Tarcelo, Engineering Services Department Manager, and Marjun Lagumay, Laguindingan Service Area Manager, represented MORESCO-1 during the inspection, underscoring the cooperative’s commitment to transparency and cooperation in the process.

The inspection focused on evaluating the condition and functionality of MORESCO-O’s overhead sub-transmission – 69kV line-assets currently under amortization. This meticulous scrutiny is crucial to ensure that the assets meet prescribed standards and are capable of facilitating seamless power transmission within MORESCO-1’s service area.
