WOMEN EMPOWERMENT FLIES HIGH IN TALAKAG DISTRICT AGMA

Empowered women dominated the second district assembly on May 3, 2023 in Talakag, Bukidnon during the conduct of the district’s AGMA in MORESCO-1’s 53rd AGMA and 55th Foundation. Movants both in the plenary hall and in the viewing center in Talakag Covered Court are all women.

Understandably because women organizations are very strong all across Bukidnon and in Talakag, MCO leaders are all women.

Using the virtual platform Zoom, 83 MCOs onboarded virtually and 269 MCOs registered and attended in the watching center set up at the airy and spacious Talakag Covered Court. Fifteen MCO leaders from the different barangays of Talakag attended in the business plenary presided by Director Bryan Lucky Z. Noble.

Misamis Oriental-1 Rural Electric Service Cooperative Inc is Now ISO 9001:2015 Certified

MORESCO-1 is delighted to have been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification, an internationally recognized standard that ensures that our products and services meet the needs of our clients through an effective quality management system.

With our banner principles on Excellence, Solidarity and Integrity, we have developed and implemented our quality management system in order to improve our overall performance, maintain a high-level of quality and strong member-consumer-owner (MCO) engagement and to provide a sound basis for future-proofing initiatives.

To become ISO 9001 certified, MORESCO-1 was audited rigorously in evaluation processes that included quality management system development and implementation, documentation review of the management system, and more. Auditors from TÜV NORD Philippines composed of Manilyn Trollano, Jennifer Pambid, Eden Manaus, April Diaz, Niel Patrick Ordiales and Daryl San Jose, recommended MORESCO-1 for certificate issuance to ISO 9001:2015 yesterday, April 28, 2023 after audit and assessment being successful and no major non-conformances were identified. The electric cooperative was also ISO 9001:2008 certified previously.

This ISO 9001:2015 journey started when Principal Consultant and CEO of AGF Consulting Group Philippines – Mr. Angel “Jong” G. Fernandez rolled out the first training on Gap Assessment to validate if the current practices of MORESCO-1 Quality Management System are compliant with the ISO 9001:2015 Standard and identify the improvements needed for ISO Certification.

That was followed by the ISO Awareness which was actively participated by process owners with planning workshop for the Quality Management System of MORESCO-1.

Then Root Cause Analysis took on play when participants were taught to identify potential causes, determine the cause | s are root causes, and address those to ensure the effect (the problem) does not recur.

Then followed a series of consultations on the process, familiarizing the upgraded flow of work, emphasizing the importance of establishing effective processes for operational efficiency and embrace the experience positively.

Then a finale part was a mock assessment and audit with a Management Review as a matter of developing a brief and conclusive document based in the context of MORESCO-1’s experience that communicated well in addressing all requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
