✨ DAN’AG 2: BRINGING LIGHT, EMPOWERING LIVES ✨

Access to electricity is a key factor in improving lives and fostering development, yet many communities still live in darkness. In response, MORESCO-1, in collaboration with the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) – Cagayan de Oro City Chapter and the Local Government Unit of Initao, Misamis Oriental, continues its mission to illuminate households in underserved areas through the Dan’ag (Give Light) – Light-A-Home Program.

On March 8, 2023, a total of 28 households in Puroks 2 and 6, Barangay San Pedro, Initao received the gift of electricity—marking another milestone in our commitment to bridging the energy gap.

Through the dedication of volunteer electricians, engineers, and our community partners, this initiative has brought hope and opportunity to families who now have access to safer, brighter homes.

MORESCO-1 IIEE Directors Join Fire Prevention Month Kickoff with IIEE CDO Chapter

MORESCO-1’s IIEE Directors, together with leaders from the IIEE Cagayan de Oro Chapter, actively participated in the Kickoff Ceremony of Fire Prevention Month on March 5, 2025, at the CDO Amphitheater. This significant event was held in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Regional Office 10, under the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The day began with a Thanksgiving Mass at Mt. Carmel Church, followed by activities across two major routes and key areas in celebration of National Fire Prevention Month. The event featured a keynote address from BFP Regional Director FCSupt. Rommel C. Tradio, DSC, and a special message from BFP National Headquarters representative FSSupt. Richard V. Arbutante, DSC.

MORESCO-1 remains committed to supporting fire safety awareness and prevention efforts, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and collaboration in safeguarding communities.

MORESCO-1 and BFP Laguindingan Join Forces for National Fire Prevention Month

In observance of National Fire Prevention Month, MORESCO-1, in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Laguindingan, conducted its annual fire evacuation drill and assessment on March 7, 2025. The exercise featured two separate drills—one at the MORESCO-1 Main Office and another at a different operational facility—reinforcing preparedness and safety awareness among employees.

This initiative underscores MORESCO-1’s commitment to ensuring a secure workplace, especially in an industry where operational continuity is crucial. Fire drills not only equip personnel with life-saving response skills but also help assess emergency readiness, evacuation efficiency, and fire risk management protocols. Through this partnership with BFP, MORESCO-1 continues to strengthen its safety culture, protecting both employees and the community it serves.
