A total of seven awards and distinctions were awarded to the Misamis OIriental-1 Rural Electric Service Cooperative, Inc. in the recently-concluded 2022 Golden Dagitab Award.
The Golden Dagitab, held on July 29, 2022 is a program of National Electrification Administration (NEA) which fetes electric cooperatives (ECs) nationwide and its other partners for their service to the Filipinos.
NEA is celebrating its 53rd anniversary and 13th National Electrification Awareness Month (NEAM) on 27 July to 31 August 2022 with the theme “NEA at ECs: Magkatuwang sa Pag-unlad at Pagkakaisa Tungo sa Bagong Pag-Asa.”
Unlike the last two years, more face-to-face activities are lined up this year. The celebration started with the Leadership Development Program and the NEA-EC Consultative Conference at the NEA Building on 27-28 July 2022. On 29 July 2022, electric cooperatives (ECs) with exemplary performance for the year 2021 were recognized in the 2022 Golden Dagitab Awards.
The awards and distinctions that were conferred to MORESCO-1 were the following:
OUTSTANDING ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE AWARD – for having attained “AAA” rating in the 2021 overall performance assessment and successfully carrying out the mandate of the Rural
RE PROGRAM DISTINCTION – For its unwavering commitment and its efforts in promoting th best interests of its mmbers-consumers-owners through the Rural Electrification Program.
COMPACT OF COOPERATION – For its philanthropic benevolence in assisting brother cooperatives rise again after the onslaught of natural calamities to be able to provide excellent service to the member-consumer-owners.
SINGLE DIGIT SYSTEM LOSS FOR THE YEAR – for having attained a Single-Digit System Loss, thereby contributing to the improvement of EC electric distribution system efficiency and reduction of power rates.
LOWEST SYSTEM LOSS FOR THE YEAR AWARD (ON GRID)– for achieving the lowest system loss in the pursuit of NEA and EC’s devotion to ameliorate the national average system loss thereby reducing power rate.
SPECIAL CITATION FOR ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE WITH ADVANCED PAYMENT – For its initiative to contribute in the advanced remittance of amortizations in the NEA lending program.
SPECIAL CITATION FOR ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE WITH FULLY LIQUIDATED SUBSIDY – For religious submission of complete documentary and technical requirements in the liquidation of government subsidies.
The premier electric cooperative in the country, MORESCO-1 extends its gratitude to NEA for recognizing their efforts to provide better service to its member-consumer-owners (MCO).
Elated with the recognition reaped by the EC, MORESCO-1 General Manager Jovel B. Ubay-ubay said “the cooperative will continue its dedication to serve and work hard in embracing its duty, a commitment of service to its MCO.”
