September 8, 2026 | Brgy. Lingion, Talakag, Bukidnon — MORESCO-1, in partnership with Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSU at Naawan), conducted a consultative meeting with community beneficiaries in Barangay Lingion, Talakag, Bukidnon, as part of preparations for the implementation of a hog-raising livelihood project.
The consultation brought together the identified beneficiaries and representatives of the partner institutions to discuss the proposed livelihood intervention, establish coordination mechanisms, and ensure that the participating households understand their roles and responsibilities in sustaining the project.
Based on the attendance sheets, the consultation was participated in by community beneficiaries together with representatives from MSU at Naawan and MORESCO-1. Among the MORESCO-1 representatives present were District 11 Board Director Carlos C. Noble, MCDC Chief Rio M. Vallejo, and MCIR Ivy Grace S. Fabrigas. MSU at Naawan representatives also joined the activity, reinforcing the collaborative approach of the initiative.
The initiative forms part of MORESCO-1’s continuing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Member-Consumer-Owner engagement efforts, particularly under its Livelihood Development pillar. Through partnerships with academic institutions and communities, the Cooperative seeks to support initiatives that can provide families with additional sources of income and contribute to greater economic resilience.
The partnership with MSU at Naawan also brings technical and institutional support closer to the beneficiaries, helping establish a stronger foundation for the proper management and long-term sustainability of the livelihood undertaking.
Through initiatives such as the Lingion Hog-Raising Project, MORESCO-1 continues to demonstrate that rural electrification goes beyond delivering electricity—it also means empowering communities and helping create opportunities for sustainable development.
